We honor those classmates who served in the military, are serving in the military, or have children who served or are serving in the military. The fact that we are able to enjoy the fun and freedom of celebrating a 40th reunion, is in part due to their sacrifices.
Timothy James Trend, class of '76. Served with the U.S. Navy from July 1976 through July 1980 as a Radioman with assignments to Recruit Training Center Orlando FL, USS California (CGN-36) a Nuclear Powered Guided Missile Cruiser, Naval Training Center San Diego CA, USS Chicago (CG-11) a Heavy Guided Missile Cruiser (considered the World's Most Powerful Guided Missile Cruiser), and USS Sterett (CG-31) a Guided Missile Cruiser. Tim received the Naval Expeditionary Medal in 1978 while aboard the USS Sterett for their activity during the Iran Hostage Crisis and received an Honorable Discharge in 1980.

George Maher, class of '76. Enlisted in the Air Force 18 months after graduating from Reavis, and served active duty for 27 years. George continues to do work for the USAF.

Sue (Bock) Sheehan, Class of '76 - Served in the Illinois Air National Guard from 1984 to 2004. Worked my way up from A1C to Major. Spent time during Desert Shield (build up for the Storm) with my brother Rick, over seas. Moved with the Guard when they closed our base at O'Hare to Scott AFB, near St. Louis to finish out my 20-years as the Commander of the 126th Services.
Benjamin Agresto, son of Cheryl (Fay) and Frank Agresto. Enlisted with the Marines in 2008, and was a Marine Reservist at the time of his death in December 2012. Ben received a posthumous Honorable Discharge.
Cpl. Phillip J. Brodnick, son of Marian (Bue) Stockhausen. Killed in Iraq, August 22, 2007.
Enlisted in the Army in 2002 and served as an Infantry Scout. Read Phillip's story, here
Tristan Conrad, Son of Susan (Balcaitis) and Steven Conrad. Cadet at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO.


Jeff Lawrence, son-in-law of Marian (Bue) Stockhausen. Jeff is married to Marian's daughter Lisa. He served in the Air Force for 6 years and now works at Boeing.

Michael Haak, son of Nancy (Kavanagh) Marek. Michael served as a Marine Reservist from 2004-2010, and was deployed to Africa in 2007. Also pictured here, Nancy's grandson, Kieran.
